What is Blueprint Automation?

A Blueprint is a configurable end-to-end automation for a specific manual document workflow. You describe the workflow — what to extract, how to validate it, what the output should look like — and the system builds and runs it automatically.

Explanation

Most accounting automation tools are either too rigid (template-based, breaks on new formats) or too complex (require developer configuration). Blueprints sit in between: non-technical users describe their workflow in plain language, and the system handles the technical execution. A Blueprint might cover invoice processing (extract line items → match to PO → flag discrepancies → push to ERP), bank reconciliation (extract transactions → match to GL → flag unmatched items), or any other manual document workflow. The key benefit is that one platform can run many different Blueprints — replacing the stack of point solutions most accounting teams currently maintain.

How Rima relates

Blueprints are Rima's core product primitive. Every manual document workflow your team runs today can be turned into a Blueprint — built once, run automatically every time.
